My Ten Must Have Items

1                    Trench Coat. I would suggest either black or tan, and remember to dress for your shape. So if you are short get one that ends at the hips and if you are taller a mid thigh length one will be perfect.  This one is from http://www.maxshop.com/

2                    Classic White Blouse.  Buy the best quality you can afford.  I prefer one with a bit of stretch in it and white buttons.  This one is from banana republic.

3                    Black or neutral trousers.  A well cut pair of trousers always look good.  If you are bottom heavy go for a pair of boot legs, if you need curves a slim fitting (but not skin tight) pair will be great.  I love banana republic trousers, they have styles for all shapes and they come in tall and petit.

4                    Jeans.  These are one of the hardest items to purchase and you will have to try on a lot of pairs to find the ones that are best for you. I personally love a dark wash. My favourite brand at the moment is Hudson.

5                    Little black dress.  This is always great to have from a dinner to a cocktail night, get one that you feel great in and dress it up with shoes and accessories.  Leona Edmiston has great dresses for all occasions.  http://www.leonaedmiston.com/

6                    Black or neutral knee length skirt. This length is universally flattering, to make it sexy wear a fitted skirt, to hide wide hips go for an A-line skirt, and to make curves try a bias cut skirt.  Country road has a great variety of skirts from casual to workwear. http://www.countryroad.com.au/

7                    A great knit. Either a cardigan or a jumper; for a bit of luxury try cashmere. It is also a great way to add a bit of colour to your outfit. I picked up a cashmere cardigan from Gap in the sales for a bargin.  http://www.gap.com/

8                    A great going out outfit/piece.  Have a go to outfit or piece that fits most occasions from a backyard bbq to dinner at a swanky restaurant.  My current piece is a blue blouse that looks great with a pair of jeans and flats for a BBQ but can be dressed up with silky pants and heals for night.

9                    Statement shoes. Whether they are a pair of animal print flats or pair of fabulous shoes pick a pair that makes your heart sing. Just a few of mine!

10               Accessories.  The quickest way to change or make an outfit is with accessories.  They don’t have to be expensive; there are lots of shops that have trendy accessories to update your wardrobe.  It is the cheapest and easiest way to make your wardrobe up to date.  My present fav is mimco http://www.mimco.com.au/

New Accessories from Mimco

As I have been procrastinating about finishing off the Waikiki Shopping information, I thought I would show you what I have been buying.

I visited Mimco, who have a great sale on at the moment and picked up these.

This hardcase evening bag in Dove Grey.

This bracelet, but the jury is still out on whether I like the safety pins in it.  Might take them out. I am sure the "sample" one I  tried on in the store didn't have safety pins in it. And lastly:
This necklace.
